William Schoenberger (1902-1999)


William C. Schoenberger, 96, Medford, died Saturday, May 22, at Memorial Hospital in Medford. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 25, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church with Rev. William Van DeKreeke officiating.


Burial took place in Riverside Cemetery, Clark County, WI


Poklasny Funeral Home handled the arrangements.


William C. Schoenberger was born November 14, 1902, in Oshkosh to the late John and Mary (Andrasko) Schoenberger.  His marriage to Rosalia Jungwirth took place on June 22, 1926, at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. She died on October 27, 1992.


He was a carpenter by trade. He had worked at Precour Construction for nearly 19 years and at Badge Concrete Construction for four years prior to his retirement.


He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and of the Local Carpenters Union.


Survivors include a daughter, Florence Raddatz of San Diego, Calif. three sons, William (Mary) of Appleton, Richard (Susan) of Onalaska and Paul (Pat) Schoenberger of Medford one sister, Clara Mirkes of Oshkosh 13 grandchildren six great-grandchildren and other relatives.


In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mary, Caroline, Anna, and an infant sister and four brothers, Charles, Albert, Joseph, and an infant brother.
