Durward K. Schwarze, 83, Granton, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1993, at Neillsville Memorial Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 3, 1993, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton.


He was born March 13, 1910, in Greenwood, Clark County, to Adolph and Anna (nee Kaylor) Schwarze.


He married Alvera Dahlby on Oct. 21, 1936, in Greenwood. She survives. He served in the Army during WWII. He was the manager of Schwarze Drug in Granton from 1941 to 1972 when he retired. He was a member of the Roary, a bank board member of Citizens State Bank, and also a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.


Survivors include his wife his step-sister, Mrs. Frank (Elaine) Peroshek, Greenwood nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-mother, Emma Schwarze. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
