ED PARKER OF MEDFORD DIES SUDDENLY HERE MONDAY


Ed Parker, 75, Medford, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday afternoon at about 3:45 in front of the Simon Schwarze home. He was on his way to call on Simon Schwarze and Otto Behrens.


Mr. Parker and His daughter, Mrs. Charles Maurer of Milwaukee came that day for a visit at the John Arends home and with other relatives and friends. The doctor was summoned but he was past any aid. He was taken to the Schiller funeral home in Greenwood until evening when the body was taken to the Pflughoelt-Hartwig funeral home in Medford.


Mr. Parker has been in ill health for many years due to heart trouble and asthma.


Mr. Parker was born in Galesville, Sept. 19, 1863. In 1904 he moved to Perkinstown and four years later moved to Medford, where had had made his home ever since. He was married to Miss May Bowerman at Greenwood, Clark County in 1885. Mrs. Parker is visiting a son, Dr. David Parker at Oakland, Cal., and is not expected home in time for the funeral.


He is survived by his wife, seven children, Lee and Irvin and Mrs. Fay Showers of Longview, Wash. Mrs. Frances Forsyth, Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. Dorothy Quinn, Astora, Oregon, Dr. David Parker, Oakland, Cal. Mrs. Charles Maurer of Milwaukee. Mrs. Maurer has been staying with her father during her mother's absence. There are also 23 grandchildren and one brother, Irvin Parker, of Galesville.
Funeral arrangements have not been made. (He is buried in the Greenwood City Cemetery)
