MRS. FRED BUKER

Mrs. Fred Buker
died of cancer at her home on the West Side, Town of Warner, Clark County Friday Feb. 5, 1909, aged 68 years, 1 month and 5 days.

Charlotte Schaper was born in Stemm, Lippe-Detmold, Germany, Jan. 1st 1841. Her father died when she was a small child and in 1857 she came to America with the remaining members of her family and settled in the town of Herman, Sheboygan County.
On Dec. 23, 1865 she was married to Frederick Buker and in the year 1872 the Buker family came to Clark County, where they have since made their home.

Deceased was never sick except the last two and a half months of her life, which she suffered greatly, but without complaint. She was a devout member of the German Reformed Church and bore her cross and pain with patience.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Ed Buker of this place, Geo. And Bertha Buker at the old home, Fred Buker in the Braun Settlement and Mrs. H. W. Decker of the West Side, who have the sympathy of all in their irreparable loss.

The funeral services were held in the German Reformed Church, Rev. Otto Saewert conducting the service and the interment made in the German Cemetery on the West Side.
