OBITUARY OF MRS. OTTO DECKER

Mrs. Otto (Lydia) Decker was born in the Town of Warner, Clark County, July 26, 1881, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meier. She was baptized in early infancy and was confirmed on April 13, 1896. She was married to Otto Decker on Aug. 16, 1899, the ceremony being performed by Rev. J. Schmalz. They settled on a farm west of Greenwood and this has since then been the home of the departed.

Mrs. Decker was a life long resident of the Town of Warner. She was well known throughout the community and was always willing to aid her friends and neighbors to the best of her ability. She has always been a member of the Immanuel Reformed Church and was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society, serving as president for a number of years.

Mrs. Decker has been ailing for a number of years and was confined to her bed since last Thanksgiving. She died Wednesday evening, July 8, 1936 at 8:00 o'clock, reaching an age of 54 years, 11 months and 12 days.

Besides her husband she is survived by five sons and five daughters, Fred, Otto and Leona at home: Theodore of Greenwood Gilbert of Milwaukee, Wis. Arthur and Mrs. J. Shortess of Belvidere, Ill. Mrs. John Pawlacyk of Neenah, Wis. Mrs. Harold Fillips and Mrs. Elmer Wolff of Manasha, Wis. Three brothers also survive, Fred of Emmet, N.D. Henry of Loyal, Wis., and Ernest of Spencer, Wis. She also leaves to mourn her death ten grandchildren.

Emil, Albert and August Enneper sang two songs, Drobin in Eden and Naeher da Heim at the house. The church choir sang two of Mrs. Decker's favorite songs, Jesu Geh Voran and The Touch of His Hand.

The funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at Immanuel Reformed Church on the West Side, Rev. P.H. Franzmeier officiating. The body was laid to rest in the West Side Cemetery. The pallbearers were her five sons, Fred, Ted, Gilbert, Arthur and Otto Decker and Bill Decker.

Out of town persons at the services included Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Wager, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Enneper, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Enneper, Mr. and Mrs. August H. Enneper, Mr. Emil Enneper Sr., Mrs. Fred Brockman, all of Brillion, Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Chales Kraatz and daughter Charlotte of Fond du Lac, Wis. Mrs. Selena Baldwin and Arthur Gilbert of Owen.
