OLIVE KLINKE

Olive Klinke, 87, formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1992, at St. Joseph's Hospital Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 24, 1992, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens officiated. Burial was in the parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Chad O'Brien, Ronald Bantz, Robert Klinke, Steve Barrett, Robert Barrett and Allen Adams.

Olive Keller was born Aug. 28, 1905, in Cazenovia, to John and Grertrude (nee Moll) Keller. She received her education in Cazenovia. She married Edward Klinke Sept. 12, 1922, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. He preceded her in death in May 1954. She and her husband owned and operated a service station in Greenwood. After it was destroyed by fire, they farmed in the town of Warner, north of Greenwood, until 1951. They then moved to Greenwood. After her husband s death, she worked in the school lunch program at St. Mary's School and Greenwood High School until retiring last March. She then moved to Parkview Apartments in Marshfield. She was admitted to the hospital Oct. 16. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Klinke, Greenwood and Ralph Klinke, Spring Grove, Ill. seven daughters, Mrs. Charles (Loraine) Adams, Eaton, Ohio Mrs. Gene (Jean) Wolstenholme, South Hampton, Pa. Mrs. Howard (Lucille) Bantz, Necedah Mrs. James (Karen) Barrett, Marblehead, Mass. Mrs. Joseph (Rita) Platt, North Wales, Pa. and Mrs. Ronald (Kay) O'Brien and Alberta Klinke, both of Marshfield 53 grandchildren 76 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sons, Neal, Ronald and Frank one daughter, Claretta one grandchild four great-grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be give for masses in the name of Olive and Edward Klinke.
Finka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
