LESTER FRANK


Funeral services for Lester Frank, 70, of route 2, Greenwood, Clark County, were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at United Methodist Church, Greenwood.


Mr. Frank passed away at 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 1977, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Rev. Lourinda Sanford officiated at the ceremony and Gary Schultz was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Gary Schultz on the organ. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Lester Frank was born to John and Martha Frank at Titonka, Iowa on Jan. 31, 1907 and received his education at Curtiss and Withee Schools.


He moved to the Curtiss area in 1918 and lived at Owen with his parents for a few years. He farmed in the Thorp area for about four years.


He was married to Stella Jolivette at Owen on Feb. 29, 1936.


They farmed in the Greenwood area until he retired in 1969, when he went to work for E-Z Campers for a few years.


Surviving him are his wife, Stella, one son, Rev. Donald L. Frank of Brookfield four brothers, Melzar of Kenosha, Charles of Alaba, Harold of Sierra Vista, Ariz. And George of Endwell, N.Y. seven sisters, Mrs. Mary Yost of Middletown, N.Y., Mrs. Raymond (Bernice) Jolivette of Pine Bush, N.Y., Mrs. Robert (Blanche) Jolivette of Pine Bush, N.Y., Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Vealey of Walden, N.Y., Mrs. Agnes Deriggo of New York, Mrs. Shirley Montez of New York, and Mrs. Edward (Rosella) Awe of California and three grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by four brothers.


Dale Jolivette, Robert Susa, Lloyd Peterson, Donald Decker, Lorris Dusso and Ralph Dusso served as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
