JAMES MCCONNELL SR.


Greenwood--James McConnell Sr., 68, a former resident of Marshfield, died of cancer Tuesday noon, Jan. 13, 1948 at his home, 6 miles southwest of Greenwood, Clark County. He had been ill the past years.


Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the farm home and at 2 o'clock at Grace Methodist Church, Greenwood. The body will lie in state at the home beginning Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Arthur R. Oates of the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield, will be the officiating clergyman and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Mr. McConnell was born June 19, 1879, in the Town of Eaton, (The rest was cut off from my copy)
