MRS. MOBERG, 78, DIES TUESDAY
LIVED IN GREENWOOD NEARLY 56 YEARS


Greenwood--Mrs. Christina M. Moberg, 78, a native of Sweden, but a resident of Greenwood, Clark County for the past 56 years, died unexpectedly at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 15, 1950 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mrs. And Mrs. Elery Moberg, in Neillsville. Death was attributed to complications resulting from a heart ailment.


Mrs. Moberg had gone to Neillsville on March 9 to visit her son and was taken ill on Sunday.


Funeral services were held today at 2 o'clock in Grace Methodist Church, Greenwood, with the Rev. Lee Holmes officiating. Burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Moberg was born March 19, 1871 in Haevo, Sweden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Anderson. She came to Greenwood from Sweden in June of 1894 and had lived here ever since. Her husband, Ole Moberg, preceded her in death in 1928.


Surviving Mrs. Moberg are four sons, Arverd, East St. Louis, Ill. Harry, Abbotsford John, Escanaba, Mich. Elery, Neillsville and a daughter, Mrs. Jay (Levina) Cronin, Minneapolis. A son, Clarence, preceded her in death in 1945. Two children died in infancy. Eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren are also living.


Mrs. Emil (Alma) Kolstad, Greenwood, and Anna Moberg, Sweden, sisters, and Eric Moberg, also of Sweden, are other survivors.


Mrs. Moberg was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Wallis-Hinker Post, in Greenwood. Auxiliary members attended the funeral services today in a body.
