Greenwood Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Grace Methodist Church, Greenwood, for Clarence Hilmer Moberg, 39, who died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 1945 at 2:40 a.m. at St. Mary's


Hospital, Rochester, Minn., where he was a patient since Thursday, Sept. 6. In July he had been a surgical patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


The Rev. Alex J. Abbott will officiate at the rites, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Schiller funeral home.


Mr. Moberg, who was known as Fritz, was born in Greenwood, Clark County, Dec. 31, 1905, and was graduated from Greenwood high School in 1925. He was a member of the Clark County Conservation League, held the office of assessor of Greenwood, was the local substitute mail carrier, and was active in baseball and basketball.


Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Christina Moberg, Greenwood a sister, Mrs. Jay (Levina) Cronin, Minneapolis and four brothers, John of Escanaba, Mich. Arverd of East St. Louis, Ill. Harry of Abbotsford, and Ellery of Neillsville.


His father, Ole, died in 1928, and a sister, Leona, when she was three months old.
