MRS. HARRY RICHMOND


Greenwood--Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hogseth-Pederson Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls for a former area resident, Mrs. Harry (Lillie) Richmond, 76, Route 4, Chippewa Falls, who died Monday, July 6, 1970, at a hospital there.


The Rev. Richard Maser officiated and burial was made in the Forest Hill Cemetery at Chippewa Falls. Pallbearers were Dennis Harp, Jim Hansen, Don Nelson, Arles Offord, Don Pitts and Jerald Richmond.


The former Lillie Offord was born June 29, 1894, in Dane County. Her marriage to Harry Richmond of Greenwood, Clark County took place March 29, 1916. They celebrated they 50th wedding anniversary in 1966.


The couple farmed in Eau Claire and Vernon Counties and also resided in Thorp and at South Dakota for some time. In 1930 they moved to Chippewa Falls and had lived there since that time.
Survivors include her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Myrtle) Harp, Chippewa Falls a son, Delbert, also Chippewa Falls eight grandchildren a great-grandson and a brother, Jesse Offord, Withee.
