WILLIAM BAYUK


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1987 for William Bayuk, 70, Willard, Clark County. He died at 4 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, 1987 at St. Mary's
Hospital in Reno, Nev.


Rev. James Lesczynski officiated at the 11 a.m. service held at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Regalia, Dave Mayenschein, Anton Prebil, John Keller, Joe Bayuk and Frank Bayuk. Military rites were performed.


He was born Dec. 30, 1916 in Willard to John and Balbina (nee Oman) Bayuk. He was educated in a rural Willard school. Aug. 28, 1947 he married Eleanor Zima in St. Stephen, Minn. He farmed all his life in the Town of Hendren, Willard, retiring in 1978. He also drove school bus for the Greenwood School System for 30 years.


He was a World War II veteran, serving as a 2nd Lt. In the Army Air Corp from Sept. 1942 to Oct. 1945.


Surviving are three sons, Dr. James Bayuk, La Crosse, Paul, Willard, Steven, Vacaville, Calif. four daughters, Mrs. Guy (Mary) Stewart, Stevens Point, Mrs. Steve (Carol) Steiger, Balsam Lake, Mrs. Ed (Nina) Laube, Minneapolis, Mrs. Randy (Betty) Thermos, Crystal Lake, Ill. three brothers, Ed, Willard, Frank, Willard, Al, Joliet, Ill., Joe, Willard four sisters, Mrs. Al (Florence) Klinke, Greenwood, Mrs. Rudy (Verna) Holman, Milwaukee, Mrs. Dora Fortuna, Westchester, Ill., Mrs. Ig (Mayme) Cesnik, Tucson, Ariz. and nine grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his wife, his parents and two sisters.


Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
