DOROTHY K. PETKOVSEK


Dorothy K. Petkovsek, 78, of Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday Aug. 7, 1987, at her home. Clark County coroner ruled her death to an apparent heart attack.


Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood, at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 10, Rev. Robert Streveler officiated and interment was in Holy Family Cemetery, Willard.


Serving as pallbearers were grandchildren, Donna Paulson, Tammy Petkovsek, Jeff Whitney, Mark Whitney, Mike Lee, Greg Petkovsek, Norman Wayer and a Prayer service and rosary were conducted at 8 p.m., Aug. 9, Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, handled arrangements.


Dorothy Anderson was born on May 2, 1909, at Omaha, Neb., to James and Anntonette Anderson. She received her education in Minneapolis.


On Oct. 26, 1929, she and Tony Petkovsek were married at Chicago. They farmed in the Town of Mead until 1964, when they bought the Tioga Tavern and operated that until 1974. They then moved to the city of Greenwood.


She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.


Survivors include five sons, Art of Greenwood, Anton Jr. of Calif., James of Greenwood, William of Greenwood and Robert of Neillsville three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Maryann) Wayer of Waukegan, Ill. and Mrs. William (Dolores) Lee of Waukegan, Ill. one brother, James Anderson of Durand 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Preceding her in death were her husband in May 1978 her parents and one son, Edward in 1984.
