OBITUARY OF JOHN HORN

John Phillip Horn was born in Essex, Kankakee County, Ill., Dec., 1873, and passed away at his farm home three miles south of town, Tuesday evening, following an illness of several months.
He was married to Miss Frieda Dieks, Nov. 19, 1901, who died March 14, 1907 in Fulda, Minn.

He was married April 28, 1908 to Miss Caroline Meyers at Fulda, who survives him. The family moved here (Greenwood, Clark County) in 1911, and have since resided in town and on their farm.

The children of the first marriage are Mrs. Peder Danielson, (Theresa) of Greenwood Mrs. Erik Carlson, (Edna) of Marengo, Ill. and Miss Anna Horn of Woodstock, Ill. Surviving children from the second marriage are Raymond, Dale and Eleanor. One son died in infancy.

He also leaves two sisters, Miss Effie Horn of Kankakee; and Mrs. Louisa Herscher of Bonfield, Ill.; two brothers, Leonard of Fulda, Minn.; and Henry of Shebans, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Arlene and Merlyn Danielson.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 3rd, from the Reformed church, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiating. Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Louisa Herscher, Bonfield, Ill.; Miss Effie Horn, Kankakee, Ill.; Mrs. Louisa Meyer and Mrs. Leonard Horn, Fulda, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wolhupt, Mr. Will Balwin of Antigo; Mr. and Mrs. Will Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gosse, Mr. and Mrs. Hiese and daughter of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Will Minke and son of Granton; John Durst and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Will Meyer and son, Mrs. Will Meikof, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vanderberg of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Krasselt and son, Mrs. And Mrs. George Krasselt of Spencer; and Mrs. Herman Froelich of Marshfield.
