FRED HEIKING


Fred Heiking
, age 91, 211 S. Main St., Loyal, Clark County, died Tuesday evening, April 11, 1978 at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 14 at the Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal, with the Rev. Charles Sanford of United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.


Mr. Heiking was born May 29, 1886 to Mr. and Mrs. August Heiking at Marshall, Wis. He married Vera Gardner on Nov. 25, 1914 at Loyal. He farmed in the Town of Loyal for 40 years and retired in 1957 and moved to the City of Loyal.


Surviving is his wife.


He was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters.


Pallbearers were Lawrence Cox, Ed Federwitz, Vernon Smith, Vern Gardner, Harold Gardner and Harry Marvin. The organist was Mrs. Julie Feldt and Mr. Gary Schultz sang How Great Thou Art and In the Garden.
