ANTHONY PETKKOVSEK


Anthony Petkovsek, 72, Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., died at 3:45 a.m. Thursday, May 4, 1978 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted a week before. Funeral services were held at Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard at 10 a.m., Monday, May 8, 1978, with the Rev. James Leszynski officiating. Burial was made in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Willard. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Petkovsek was born on Nov. 16, 1905 at Springfield, Ill. To John and Mary Petkovsek. He received his education in the Willard School.


He married Dorothy Anderson on Oct. 26, 1929 at Chicago, Ill. They farmed in the Greenwood and Willard area. From 1964 to 1975 he owned and operated Tony's Tavern at Tioga, Wis. Since 1975 he had retired and resided in Greenwood. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy six sons, Arthur, Greenwood, Anthony, Jr., Los Angeles, Calif., James and William, Greenwood, Edward, Marshfield and Robert, Neillsville three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Mary Ann) Wayer, Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Marvin (Pat) Whitney, Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. Bill (Dolores) Lee, Waukegan, Ill. four sisters, Mrs. Mary Beton, Niles, Ill., Mrs. Anna Lassen, Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Frances Bruske, Melrose Park, Ill., Mrs. Leo (Dorothy) Gregorich, Willard and four brothers, John, Greenwood, Martin, Morton grove, Ill., Frank, Chicago, and William, Willard.


Pallbearers were Bill Boh, Charles Herrick, John Stamcar, Albert Zorman, Earl Hack, and Clifford Rask.
