Seebandt, Henry A. (1918 - 1991)


Henry A. Seebandt, 73, Neillsville, died at his residence Saturday, April 20, 1991. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Christie. Rev. Paul Reede officiated and burial was in the town of Weston Cemetery, Christie. Pallbearers were Wilmer Lueck, Wallace Brey, Bob Galbreath, Jack Ratsch, Arnold Buchholz, and Ernie Bird.


Henry A. Seebandt was born Feb. 12, 1918, in Germantown, Wis., to Henry C. and Helena (nee Heintz) Seebandt. He received his education in Juneau County. After school he worked in Kansas farming. He entered the service in 1942 and served until 1945 in the Italian Campaign 91st Division and Infantry. He then returned to the town of Weston and began farming. He semi-retired in 1983. He married Caroline M. Matzke Feb. 28, 1944, in Neillsville. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Christie past Forman School Board member and past St. John's Lutheran Church Council Member.


Survivors include his wife one son, Herman Seebandt, Neillsville one daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Claudean) Lezotte, Neillsville one sister, Mrs. Margareta Watson, Garland, Texas one brother, Herman F. Seebandt, Loyal and seven grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister.


Gesche Funeral Home, Inc., handled the arrangements.
