McCann, Gertrude (1905 - 1990)


Gertrude McCann, 85, of 410 E. Begley, Greenwood, died at 2:21 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, where she had been admitted earlier during the day.


Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 19, 1990, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Tom Garrison officiated and interment of the ashes will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Detroit, Mich. at a later date. Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.


Gertrude McCann was born to Patrick Henry and Anna (nee Hillman) Cronin Jan. 26, 1905, in Greenwood. She received her education at Greenwood High School.


She was married to Peter McCann in Jan. 1933, at Detroit, Mich. She worked for a candy Company in Detroit, Mich. until her husband s death in 1969, when she moved to the City of Greenwood.


Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Owen (Margaret) William of Glendive, Mont. Mrs. Martin (Dolly) Zickert of Greenwood and Mrs. Phillip (Ana) Vollrath of Greenwood.


She was predeceased by her husband, her parents six brothers and two sisters.
