Richert, Alice (1913 - 1991)


Alice Richert, 77, Loyal, died at her home Monday, March 4, 1991. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 7, 1991, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Rev. Joseph R. Kraly will officiate and burial will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 6.


Alice Searls was born Aug. 28, 1913, in black River Falls, to James and Julia (nee Hanson) Searls. She received her education at Black River Falls and Clark County Schools in the town of York. She married Herbert Richert Aug. 28, 1940, in Nashua, Iowa. He survives.
They farmed in Sauk County until 1950, when they moved to the town of Loyal, where they farmed until 1978. Then they moved to the city of Loyal. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1990. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.


Survivors include her husband two sons, Stanley Richert, St. Louis, Mo. and Robert Richert, St. Francis four daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Sikora, Deerbrook Mrs. John (Carolyn) Bair, Winnetka, Ill. Mrs. Robert (Linda) Steinen, Locust Grove, Va. and Mrs. Mark (Shirley) Denu, Lake Oswego, Ore. and 10 granddaughters.


She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and eight sisters.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
