Polasek, Helen (1930 - 2001)


Helen Polasek, age 70, Green Bay, died on Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, in Green Bay. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Jan. 29, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Green Bay. The Rev. Richard Getchell officiated. Entombment was in Allouez Mausoleum.


Helen Langfeldt was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Loyal, to Max and Frances (nee Rueth) Langfeldt. She married Norman Polasek on Sept. 28, 1953, in Loyal. When she came to Green Bay, she was involved in the abstract business. She later managed the tax department at M I Bank for 20 years. She was on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Tax Practitioners for many years. She was a member of St. Agnes Parish and served as the Eucharistic Minister Coordinator. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross and was the Bloodmobile coordinator.


Survivors include her husband, Norman Polasek, Green Bay eight brothers and sisters, Robert (Darlene) Langfeldt, Loyal Lois (Thomas) Wirkus, Onalaska Joann (Donald) Oestreich, Spencer Alan (Barbara) Langfeldt, Loyal Herbert (Donna) Langfeldt, Beaver Dam, and Bonnie Bender, Beaver Dam one brother-in-law, E. Basil (Bernice) Polasek, Marshfield two sisters-in-law, Dolores Wright, Green Bay and Jo Ann Gregory, Rothschild many nieces, nephews and godchildren.


She was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Langfeldt and one brother-in-law, William Wright.


Blaney Funeral Home, Green Bay, assisted the family with arrangements.
