Prebil, Molly M. (1912 - 2001)


Molly M. Prebil, 88, Willard, Clark County, died on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at her daughter's home in Eau Claire. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 3, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Bayuk, Val Krainz, Bing Perko, John Herdhal, Ray Gregorich, and bill Petkovsek.


Molly Margaret Perme was born on Sept. 5, 1912, in Chisholm, Minn., to Joseph and Mary (nee Koprivetz) Perme. As a young girl, she and her family moved to Duluth, Minn., before moving to Willard and buying land in the Gorman area. After her schooling, she worked in Chicago, Ill., and Watertown, doing various jobs. She married Anton Bill Prebil on Aug. 5, 1935, in Willard. The couple raised two children and farmed in the Willard area until retiring in 1975. He husband died on Oct. 12, 1994. She continued to live on the farm and in Sept. 2000 her daughter came to live and care for her in Willard, and in Jan. 2001, she moved to her daughter's home, where she resided until her death. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, walking, being outdoors, and gardening.


Survivors include one daughter, Kathie (Doug) Ellsworth, Eau Claire one son, Garth (Kathy) Prebil, Sussex two grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer Prebil and one sister, Kristine Kunkel, Milwaukee.


She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Anton one sister, Mary and four brothers, Joe, John, Frank, and Louis.


Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
