Colby, Roswell Elmore Adelbert (1891 - 1926)


Roswell Elmore Adelbert Colby was born at Abbotsford, Wis., Sept. 25, 1891, and died at Owen, Clark County, Aug. 13, 1926, at the age of thirty-five years. He was married to Miss Elsie Schroeder of Appleton at Palisade, Colo., April 28, 1823, and leaves to mourn his wife, Elsie, and one daughter, Adeline Belle his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Colby of Palisade Colo. two sisters, Mrs. Maude Thompson of Yuba City, Calif., and Mrs. Grace O'Donnell of Owen, besides three brothers, Wm. O. Colby of Unity, Deah Colby of Abbotsford, and Percy Colby of Palisade, Colo., and numerous other relatives.


Funeral services were held from the home of Dr. and Mrs. Jas. O'Donnell Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock, Rev. W.F. Grandy of the Methodist Church of Withee officiating, burial taking place in the Colby cemetery.
