Jorgensen, Lars (24 APR 1839 - 21 DEC 1924)


Lars Jorgensen born April 24, 1839 in Eidsvold, Norway, died December 21, 1924 at the age of 85 years 7 months and 26 days. He was the son of Dr. Joren Tonsaker and Martha Tonsaker of Eidsvold Norway.


Mr. Jorgensen was united in marriage to Mathilda Thorensen of Kongsberg, Norway, in 1869. She having preceded him in death January 10, 1907.


He leaves to morn his loss a daughter, Mrs. Carl Benson, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Two sisters and one brother preceding him in death.


Mr. Jogensen came to Longwood from Christina, Norway in 1883 and has lived there ever since excepting spent in Seattle, Washington.


He has made his home with his daughter Mrs. Carl Benson, for the last 17 years.


Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Norwegian Lutheran Church at Longwood and burial made in the church cemetery.
