Rondorf, Joe (1905 - 1980)


Funeral services for Joe Rondorf, 74, Route 1, Greenwood, were conducted by Rev. Joseph Henseler of Neillsville at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood.


Mr. Rondorf died around 9:30 p.m., Saturday evening, Feb. 9, 1980, at his home, of a heart attack.
Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Joe Rondorf was born on Nov. 9, 1905, in the Town of York to Mathew and Fredericka (Baus) Rondorf and received his education at Town of York School and Loyal Parochial School.


He was married on July 22, 1931 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He farmed in the Town of York until 1940, then moved to the Town of Eaton and farmed until 1968, but continued to live there.


He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.


A Prayer Service was conducted at 8 p.m., Feb. 11.


He is survived by his wife, Evelyn six sons, John of Milwaukee, Richard of Greenwood, James of Milwaukee, Charles of West Bend, Dennis of West Bend and Larry of Withee five daughters, Mrs. Duane (Phyllis) Syth of Santa Clara, Calif., Mrs. James (Margie) Lloyd of West Bend, Mrs. Robert (Janet) Kreuser of Owen, Mrs. Mel (Pat) Alvarado of Santa Clara, Calif., and Mrs. David (Nancy) Feucht of Campbellsport two brothers, William of Marshfield and Alfred of Loyal one sister, Mrs. Nora Buffington of Marshfield 47 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were one daughter one brother one sister and his parents.


Pallbearers were Floyd Plautz, Norman Mayenschein, Reynold Syth, Al Bushman, Ray Rondorf and Don Lindner.
