Arch, Ernest (1922 - 1980)


Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 18 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, for Ernest Arch, 57, of Route 2, Greenwood, Clark County.


Mr. Arch died early Saturday morning, March 15, 1980, at the Neillsville Nursing Home.


Rev. James Lesczynski officiated at the service and burial was in the Holy Family Cemetery.


An 8 p.m. Rosary and an 8:30 p.m. Knights of Columbus Rosary were held Monday evening, March 17.


Ernest Arch was born on Aug. 1, 1922, in Greenwood to Louis and Elizabeth Arch and received his education at West Eaton Grade School and Greenwood High School.


He was married to Mildred Podobnik at Willard on Oct. 26, 1946. He farmed on his father s farm in the Town of Eaton all his life.


He was a member of the K.S.K.J. Lodge at Willard and the Knights of Columbus of Our Lady of Fatima Council.


Surviving him are two sons, Jim of Greenwood and William of Greenwood two daughters, Miss Mary Arch of Milwaukee, and Mrs. John (Karyn) Johnson of Evergreen, Colorado three sisters, Mrs. Austin (Angeline) McHale of Paris, France, Miss Betty Arch of Milwaukee and Mrs. Julia Kaczmarek of Lakewood, Col. and two grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his wife on Aug. 5, 1968 three brothers and his parents.


Frank Debevec, Emil Podobnik, Mike Podobnik, Val Yurkovich, Frank Parkel and Mike Krultz served as pallbearers. Rinka Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
