Seefeld, Albert (1897 - 1980)


Albert Seefeld, 83, of Route 1, Spencer, died on Monday, Oct. 13, 1980 at his home.


Funeral services were conducted by Rev. David Ault at 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. John's Lutheran Church. Mrs. Barbara Ault was the soloist and Mrs. Marsha Martens the organist. Interment was in the church cemetery.


Albert Seefeld was born to the late Frank and Amelia (nee Schwantes) on March 14, 1897 in the Town of Unity, Clark County and received his education at Spencer Schools.


He married Elsie Hendrickson at St. John's Parsonage on Dec. 12, 1917. She preceded him in death on May 25, 1970.


They farmed in the Town of Unity. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.


Survivors include one son, Virgil of Route 1, Spencer; and two grandchildren.


Serving as pallbearers were Paul, Dale and Walter Seefeld, Arnold Seefeldt, Ray Schofield and Ronald Schmidt. Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, was in charge of arrangements.


Preceding his in death were one daughter and four brothers.
