WILLIAM MICKETT SR.
 

William Mickett Sr., 82, Thorp, Clark County, died Thursday, April 29, 1993, at Victory Medical Center Nursing Home, Stanley. Funeral services were held Monday, May 3, 1993, at Thorp Funeral Home. Rev. John Puerner officiated. Burial was in Old St. Hedwig's Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.


William Mickett was born Sept. 6, 1910, in Clinton, Ind., to William and Julia Mickett. He married Mary Bolf on Oct. 18, 1933, at St. Hedwig's Church. She survives. He lived and farmed in the Town of Warner and Greenwood areas until 1988, when he moved to Thorp.


Survivors include his wife of Thorp two sons, William Jr., Chippewa Falls and Robert, Greenwood three daughters, Alice Benzschawel and Beverly Benzschawel, both of Thorp and Dorothy Piont, Padeeville 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson.


Thorp Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
