Silhanek, Mary (1908 - 2002)


Mary Silhanek, 93, Neillsville, Clark County, died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at the Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. Burial was in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago.


She was born on Jan. 25, 1908, in Chicago. She was a longtime social work volunteer in central Wisconsin and places as far away as California.


Survivors include one son, Allen one daughter, Audrey Zarn two grandchildren two great-grandchildren and many friends.


Preceding her in death were her husband, Al her parents and two brothers.


Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.


The Cremation Society of Wisconsin assisted the family with arrangements.
