Esther Marian Celesnik, 76, Cadott, died Sunday, April 16, 1995, at Luther Hospital, Eau Claire. Services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 1995, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Cadott. Father Thomas Crowley officiated. Entombment was in Hope Mausoleum, Chippewa Falls.


Esther Marian Mech was born on June 17, 1918, in Willard, Clark County, to Emil and Anastasia (nee Fischer) Mech. She grew up in Willard. She married Peter Celesnik on July 15, 1936, in Marshfield. They purchased the Edsedell Cheese Factory in 1938 and operated it for 41 years until retiring in 1979, when they moved to Cadott. She was a member of Sacred Heart and St. Rose Circles.


Survivors include her husband, Peter of Cadott two sons, George of Boyd and Peter Jr. (Pam) of Chippewa Falls two daughters, Elaine (Gerry) Olsen, Chippewa Falls and Mary Ann Albertson, Eau Claire four brothers, Henry Mech, Marshfield Herbert Mech and Emil Mech, both of Arizona and Clement Mech, Sheboygan nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents one daughter, Dorothy two brothers, Raymond and Francis and one brother who died in infancy.
