Inga NEVE, 95, of Pittsville, died Sunday, Dec 17, 2000 at the House of the Dove Hospice, Marshfield. Funeral services were held Friday Dec 22, 2000 at the United Church of Christ in Pittsville. Rev. Nancy CARR officiated, with Betty CAPLIN as organist. Burial was in the Sherwood cemetery, Town of Sherwood (Clark Co., WI), with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Inga was born Oct 22, 1905, in City Point to Invald and Caroline (JEPSON) NELSON. She was educated at City Point Grade School, Lincoln High School and Wood County Normal in Wisconsin Rapids. Before marriage she taught grade school in the Town of Cary. She married Frank NEVE, Sr., Feb 11, 1926 in Rockford, IL. He died July 27, 1985. They lived on a farm in the town of Cary from 1926 until September of 1983, though retiring from farming in 1967. In 1983 they moved to the City of Pittsville. She was past town clerk for the town of Cary, helped to establish and served as 4-H leader for the Cary Go-Getters, was a member of the Cary Ladies Aid and Cary Homemakers. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Pittsville Senior Citizens. Inga enjoyed cross-word puzzles, playing cards and being with her family.

She is survived by six sons, LaVerne (Christine) of Marshfield, Leland "Swede" (Connie) of Pittsville, Frank Jr. (Judy) of Pittsville, Edward (Arlene) of Wisconsin Rapids, Donald (Marlene) of Pittsville and Lawrence (Joeane) of Rice Lake one daughter, Caroline (Herman) BALLERSTEIN of Mapleton, Maine 29 grandchildren 41 great-grandchildren three great-great-grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband four brothers and five sisters.

The family asks that memorial gifts be designated to Pittsville Area Neighbors Shelf, Pittsville Youth Ministry, Pittsville Community Library or the Pittsville High School Performing Arts Foundation.

Buchanan Funeral Home, Pittsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
