Hardrath, Leonora B. (1907 - 1983)


Leonora B. Hardrath, 75, of Route 1, Spencer, Clark County, Town of Unity, died on Tuesday evening, Jan. 18, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. David Ault at St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger, on Friday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery, with grandsons, Dennis and Wayne Schultz, Arnold and Danny Dassow, and Carl and Michael Hardrath serving as pallbearers.

Leonora Woempner was born on Sept. 26, 1907, in the Town of Mayville, Clark County, to Carl and Anna (nee Dunow) Woempner.

She and Roy Hardrath were married at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Dorchester, on Sept. 7, 1927. They farmed all their life at Route 1, Spencer.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger.

She is survived by her husband, Roy three sons, Carl, Sr. of Colby, Galen of Spencer and Lyle of Marshfield two daughters, Mrs. Ervin (Ethel) Schultz of Unity and Mrs. Arnold (Luella) Dassow of Medford 18 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Arnold Woempner of Coeur D Alene, Idaho and Henry Woempner of Dorchester.

Preceding her in death was one brother and her parents.

Rux Funeral Home, Colby, handled arrangements.
