Percy Vincent, 85, of 211 W. Mill St., Loyal, Clark County, died Tuesday, evening, Feb. 1, 1983, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, after suffering a stroke the week before.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Rev. Charles Sanford officiated and burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Roger and Robert Cook, and Donald, David James and Ken Vincent, all grandchildren. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.

Percy Vincent was born to John and Julia (nee Turville) Vincent on April 23, 1897, in the Town of Summit, Waukesha County.
He received his education in the Town of York.

His first marriage was to Julia Slocum on June 25, 1919, in the Town of Beaver. She died on Oct. 12, 1966.

After his marriage, he farmed in the towns of Loyal and Beaver until 1951, when he retired from farming and moved to Loyal. He then worked for Pathfinder and Roth Mfg.

His second marriage was to Mae McGonegal on July 8, 1967. She died on April 24, 1975.

On Sept. 30, 1975, he and Marilee Hardrath were married.

He was a member of the Loyal Senior Citizens Club.

Surviving him are his wife, Marilee two sons, Murel of Milwaukee and Verlyn of Glendive, Mont. one daughter, Mrs. Linda Cook of Spencer one brother, Jim of Neillsville one sister, Mrs. Keziah Nickel of Milwaukee 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were three brothers, two sisters and four grandchildren.
