Plautz, Ann D. (1914 - 1983)


Willard, Clark County, native, Ann D. Plautz, 68, died Thursday, May 19, 1983, at her home in Milwaukee following an asthma attack.

Visitation at the Bruskiewitz Forest Lane Chapel was from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 a.m. Monday, with Rev. Charles A. Kleefisch officiating.

Pallbearers were Les Burmeister, Stanley Yakitch, George Plautz, Frank Pakiz and Frank Svigel. Members of the Slovenian Women's Union Br. 12 were honorary pallbearers. Burial was at Holy Family Cemetery, Willard. Father James Lesczynski officiated at graveside services.

Ann Plautz was born in Willard Sept. 11, 1914, a daughter of Stephen and Mary (Popovich) Plautz. Her marriage to Martin Kokaly took place in Willard in 1945. She was employed in Milwaukee for many years and belonged to the S.W.U. Association of Retirees and several bowling teams. Her marriage to frank Svigel ended in divorce.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Marcia Kokaly) Benton, and one grandson, Robert Joseph Benton of South Milwaukee three brothers, Joseph of Willard, George of Greenwood, Emil of Owen five sisters, Angeline Levesque of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Les (Mary) Burmeister and Sophia Matkovich of Milwaukee, Mrs. Leo (Helen) Albright of Minocqua and Mrs. Frank (Rosaline) Pakiz of Greenwood.

She was predeceased by her parents and four brothers, Stephen, John, Frank and Michael.
