BETTY SEBOLD


Betty Jane Sebold, 53, Willard, Clark County, formerly of Loyal, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 1995, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Funeral services were to be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1995, at the Free Methodist Church, Loyal. Rev. Rich George officiated. Burial was in the Willard, Slovenian Cemetery.


Pallbearers were Alan Tesch, Ryan Heintz, David Bihan, Bart Gaffney, Patrick Bighan, Pat Fleischman and Mike Fleischman.


Betty Jane Picus was born Feb. 28, 1942, in Spencer, to Ralph and Eva (nee Riskem) Picus. She graduated from Spencer High School and Stevens Point State Teachers College.


After college, she taught school in Willard in the early 1960's and then was employed with the Loyal School District for 25 years until retiring in 1988. She married Orrin Sebold on April 12, 1968. He survives. In the early 1970's she started the Adult Developmental Center in Willard. After retiring, she moved with her husband to the Rock Dam area and resided there until her death. She enjoyed arts and crafts, traveling, auctions and casinos. She was a member of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary.


Survivors include her husband her father and step-mother, Ralph and Evelyn Picus, Greenwood one son, Orrin Sebold Jr., Willard two step-sons, David Sebold, Neillsville and Robert Sebold, Rockville, Utah one step-daughter, Mary Heintz, Marshfield four grandchildren and three sisters, Joan Sterns, Milwaukee Elaine Hamilton, San Antonio, Texas and Mary Jo Picus, Oshkosh.


She was preceded in death by her mother.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
