Haas, LaVerne (1925 - 2002)


THORP - LaVerne W. Haas, 76, of Thorp, died Feb. 16, 2002 at his home.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Bernard's- Hedwig Catholic Church, Thorp. Father John Puerner will preside. A private interment will be held by the family.

Wisconsin Cremation Services, of Eau Claire, is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Kathryn three sons, Rick (Cindi) Haas, of Franklin, Randy (Nancy) Haas, of La Crosse, Russell Haas, of Thorp four daughters, Lori (James) Pajak, Thorp, Jane (Kerry) Haas-Parnewicz, of Withee, Annette Haas and Geralyn (Keith) Gunter, both of Sarasota, Fla. 11 grandchildren, Kariann, Ryan, Kasi, Jhonny, Jacqi (Ken), Jacob, Matthew, Andrew, Ethan, Cecilia, Lance one great-granddaughter, Bailey four brothers and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters and two siblings.

In lieu of flowers, the deceased wished that in continuation of Catholic Teachings, donations be made to the Thorp Catholic School.
