Artac, Ludwig M. (3 AUG 1914 - 11 JUL 1979)


Ludwig M. Artac, a retired farmer in the Town of Hendren, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 11, 1979 at his home. He had just returned to his residence after spending time in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Funeral services were held for Artac, 65, in Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, this past Saturday. Burial was made in the parish cemetery with the Rev. Joseph Henseler of St. Mary's parish in Neillsville officiating.

With the Rinka Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, pallbearers included Leo Gregorich, William Petkovsek, William Lucas, Edward Bukovec, John Stancer and John Trunkel.

The deceased was born on August 3, 1914 to Michael and Johanna Artac in Willard. He attended North Hendren School.

On June 1, 1954, he married Josephine Ticer in Willard ceremonies.

He was a member of Holy Family parish, KSKJ Lodge and the Sportsmen's Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Patricia) Sixel, Eau Claire one son, Michael, Willard three step-chidren, Mrs. Donald (Frieda) Adams of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Berzinski of Stanley and Mrs. Roger (Virginia) McNamara of Racine a brother, Frank of Greenwood two sisters, Jennie Artac and Emily Haug, both of Milwaukee seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one sister.
