Auman, Rosie (19 AUG 1923 - 31 AUG 2001)


Rosie Auman, 78, Greenwood, died on Friday, Aug. 31, 2001, at the House of the Dove, Marshfield. A celebration of her life will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Frriday, Sept. 7, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date at the Willard Cemetery.

Rosie Dolenc was born on Aug. 29, 1923, in Black Oak, Ohio, to Anton and Jennie (nee Demshar) Dolenc. She moved to Willard when she was 6 years old, and received her education at the Willard Public School. She married Frank Auman Jr. on Dec. 31, 1941, in Neillsville. They farmed the Auman family farm west of Willard. In 1967, they retired, sold the farm and moved to a home southwest of Willard. In 1975, they moved to a home northeast of Greenwood. Her husband passed away on July 16, 1982. Her interests included embroidery, gardening, laughing and joking, and especially, dancing.

Survivors include 11 children, Mary Ann Lesar, Loyal, Bernice LaMarr, Union Grove, Nancy Auman, Racine, Jerry (Marilyn) Auman, Willard, Linda (Denny Schumacher) Villapando, Spencer, Elaine (Robert) Langreck, Spencer, Rosalie (Darrel Wejner) Auman, Spencer, Angie Auman, Waukesha, Robert Auman, Greenwood, Debra Auman, Genesee, and David Auman, Greenwood 10 grandchildren 27 great-grandchildren four sisters, Martha Ullman, Zanesville, Ohio, Jennie Boal, Kingman, Ariz., Mary Borocz, Parma, Ohio and Josephine (John) Marid, Las Vegas, Nev. and one brother, Lloyd Dolenc, whereabouts unknown.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Frank her parents one sister, Pauline Keller one brother, Tony two sisters and one brother in infancy and two sons-in-law, Louis Lesar and Harvey LaMarr.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
