Schecklman, Genevieve (24 MAY 1909 - 16 DEC 1985)


Mrs. Genevieve Schecklman, 76, Marshfield, died Monday morning at 3:35 a.m. Dec. 16, 1985, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 18, 1985 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Lynch will officiate. Pallbearers will be Albert Walter, Roman Walter, Jim Walter, Edward Schecklman, George Schecklman and Tony Schecklman. A prayer service was held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m.

She was born May 24, 1909 in Granton, Clark County to Ezra and Nora (nee Dyer) Sharratt. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1926 and attended and graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in 1929. She married Albert Schecklman, June 9, 1931 in Neillsville's St. Mary's Church. She worked for two years in Chicago and farmed in the town of York until 1965, then moved to Marshfield.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Marshfield.

Surviving are her husband, Albert three brothers, Roland Sharratt, Chili, Frank Sharratt, Santa Barbara, Calif., Gordon Sharratt, Neillsville and one sister, Mrs. Thomas Sullivan, Evergreen Park, Ill.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
