Gehrke, Margaret (6 NOV 1917 - 20 AUG 1984)


Mrs. Lenard (Margaret) A. Gehrke, 84, formerly of Spencer and then the Colonial House of Colby Nursing Home, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 1984 at 7:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 1984 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. William Ruhbusch officiated the service. Pallbearers were Dale Gehrke, Craig Brandt, Ronald Currie, Donald Currie, Donald Newman, Gene and LaVern Knoll. The organist was Mrs. Arnold Brusewitz.

Rux Funeral Home in Spencer handled the arrangements.

Mrs. Gehrke was born April 29, 1900 in the Town of Loyal, Clark County to George and Hilda (nee Brown) Knoll. On Sept. 10, 1924, she married Lenard Gehrke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal and lived all her life in the Spencer and Loyal area.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, and the Spencer Senior Citizens.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers, and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Lenard her children, Russell Gehrke of Spencer and Orin Gehrke of Zepherhills, Fla. one sister, Bertha Kolaiski of New Mexico six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
