LAURA PIETENPOL OF GRANTON DIES


Mrs. Laura Pietenpol, 86, route 1, Granton, Clark County, died at 10:45 p.m., Friday, June 13, 1975 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.


Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Granton with the Rev. William Noble officiating. Burial took place in the Windfall Cemetery.


Mrs. Pietenpol, the former Laura Neitzel, was born Nov. 19, 1888, in the town of Lynn. She had worked as a dressmaker, and was a piano player for silent movies in Marshfield and also in a dance band.


She was married Sept. 14, 1915, in the town of Grant to Floyd Pietenpol. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1965. Her husband died June 10, 1973.


Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Letha) Ganther, Granton and Mrs. Elaine Downer, Neillsville three grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Art Short, Granton.


Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters.
