TONY GOSAR


Tony, Gosar, 81, Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday, May 27, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. Father Steve Baures officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery.

 

 Pallbearers were his sons, David Gosar, Tony Gosar, Frank Gosar, John Gosar and Val Gosar, and Nephews Bernard Artac and Lawrence Artac.


Tony Gosar was born in Waukegan, Ill. His family moved to Greenwood in 1913 and has farmed there ever since. He married Donna Flick in 1953 at Holy Family Catholic Church. She survives. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Marion Society and Holy Family Society Chapter 136. He was also active in Operation Friendship.


Survivors include his wife five sons, David Gosar, Chicago, Ill. Tony Gosar, Greenwood Frank Gosar, Eugene, Ore. John Gosar, Mukwonago and Val Gosar, Chili one daughter, Margaret Gosar, Minneapolis six grandchildren and five sisters, Sophie Trunkel, Greenwood Anne Sladich, Greenwood Julia Kuznacic, Sheboygan Cecilia Shaw, Marshfield and Angie Stroniski, Thorp.


He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank two sisters, Sister Antonia and Mary Artac.


Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
