Farning, Lucinda Dwyer (27 Nov 1853 - Feb 1900)

Mrs. Lucinda Dwyer Farning, the announcement of whose death appeared in the last issue, was born in Michigan, Nov. 27, 1853, and moved from there at an early date to Waupaca County, Wis., and from there to Clark County, where she has resided for the past 35 years. In 1875 she was united in marriage to Wm. M. Farning, who is left to mourn her loss. Three children, Will, Frank and Janie were born to them, all of whom are living.

Deceased was one of the class of people with whom it is a pleasure to associate, and to know her was to love and respect her. She listened to the cry of poverty and want, and gave with a lavish had to those in need. The door of her home was always open to the poor and needy, none going away empty-handed. Her chief joy was her home and loved ones and their comfort and happiness was her first and only thought. Long will her kind and loving deeds survive her, and while the grief-stricken family mourn the loss of one so near and dear to them, the feeling of sorrow and regret at the passing away of this noble and true woman is shared by all. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved one in their time of trial and pain.

For the assistance of friends and neighbors during the dark hour, the family desire to return their heartfelt thanks.
