Tolaney, Jennie Emma (1912 - 1995)

 

JENNIE EMMA TOLANEY, 82, Greenwood, Clark County, died Tuesday, March 28, 1995, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 1, 1995, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. Rev. Michael Mertens will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Willard. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 1995, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood.

Jennie Emma Horvat was born on Sept. 29, 1912, in Aspen, Col. To John and Johanna (nee Godec) Horvat. She received her education in Willard area schools. She married Joseph Tolaney Sr. on Nov. 11, 1939, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1976. They farmed in the Willard area until retiring in 1968 and moving to Greenwood. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Druzba Club.

Survivors include three sons, Joe (Karen) Tolaney, Willard; John (Chris) Tolaney, Germantown; and Tony Tolaney, Honolulu, Hawaii; three daughters, Joanne (LeRoy) Kesler, Minneapolis, Minn.; Angeline (Al) O'Brien, Racine; and Marjorie Wilhelm, Milwaukee; 15 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Klune, Neillsville; and Helen Krainz, Willard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister, in infancy. Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
