New Red Cross Members (1918)

Posted By: Kathie Goad

American soldiers by the hundred thousand are now in Europe preparing to fight America's battle for liberty against the Kaiser's barbarians. Some of our lads have already made the great sacrifice for you and me. We must support our army by joining the Red Cross at once.

Over 475 New Members are Received During Recent Red Cross Drive

The following is a list up to January 1st, of the names of people who have joined the Red Cross in the recent campaign, any additional names will be published in the next issue of the Gleaner. That the campaign was a great success is shown by the list of new members given below. Listed is an alphabetical list of the names which appeared in the original newspaper article for the Greenwood Gleaner, Jan. 3, 1918.  The "Number" column refers to the original order of appearance because they were listed as they joined the effort.
