The remains of Mrs. Harry Langdon were brought here Saturday morning from Springfield, Ill. Mrs Langdon was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Walport and in her several visits here had made many friends who extend their sympathy to the bereaved husband and family.

*Mr. And Mrs. Joe Walport, Sr., and family built up and settled a farm two and a half miles from Columbia. Of their five children, Laura married Harry Langdon of Chicago; Anna married Omar Blencoe of Alma Center where they farmed; Joe Jr., worked out and at home part time; Gertrude was graduated from Columbia school, teaching in rural schools after taking a teacher's course. When the parents passed on she moved to Wyoming to take out a claim, proving up on it. Frederick went with her. Later they returned to Wisconsin.

Corections or adjustment:
Laura Walport was my grandmother. Laura was married to Frank Faber on 15 OCT 1907 in Neillsville, Clark County, Wisconsin .
Joseph and Margaret eldest son Eberhard John Walport had a daughter named Laura who was married to (1) Henry A. Krutz and (2) Frank Basty.

Elizabeth Walport married Harry Langdon. Sorry, don't have any dates yet.

I not sure who Anna is. I don't even have Anna or the surname Blencoe in my database. Will have to look into this.

Both Gertrude and Fred  Walport settled in Casper, WY after the death of their parents and are buried there.  They did travel back to Wisconsin at times.
