O-W Takes 2nd in Cloverbelt Conference
The Owen-Withee Blackhawk’s experienced a very successful season this
year with a record of six wins, one loss and one tie.
The team owes it success to their line and swift backfield. The only
setback the team suffered was the all important Cornell game, which was
lost 14-6, costing the Blackhawk’s the championship. If the
Blackhawk’s had managed to come up with a win, the championship would
have been theirs.

Officers – Pep Club
B. Gehrke – President; S. Hardrath – Vice President; Mrs. Fritsch –
Advisor; J. Bucheger – Secretary; F. Fritsch – Treasurer
The Pep Club this year has such a large group of members, that it has
decided to adopt a constitution. Over one-hundred girls and one boy
became full-fledged members when they paid their dues.
The main purpose of the Pep Club is to promote school spirit among the
student body and lead the cheers at all games.
Homecoming decorations are usually prepared by the Pep Club while the
O-W Club sponsors the dance and provides the music.
A great organization composed of the energetic students willing to back
their team!
