--------- Adams, A. L.

A. L. Adams came to Abbotsford in 1916 from Phillips where he had been working as a telegraph operator for the Soo Line.

He came to the depot here to assume the job left vacant by George Murphy who was in the Army. Upon Murphy’s return, Adams continued on the second shift until the depression when the force was reduced and he was transferred to a similar position at Owen.

He retired in 1940 at the age of 60.

Also a chiropractor, he continued that practice until he was eighty years old. He purchased the Ed Notbohm residence in 1922 and lived there until his death in 1972.

Mrs. Adam died in 1965. They had two children, Sam Claude and Edna.
