Arthur Paul Fritz Kuhlmann

Born at Neillsville, Wis., Dec. 22, 1892. Son of Charlie and Minnie Kuhlman, "Tony" entered service at Ladysmith, July 23, 1918, assigned to Co. A, 81st Engineers. Trained at Camp Grant and Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind. Sailed for France Oct. 26, 1918. Transferred to 137th Co., 19th Engineers. Landed in U. S. March 21, 1919. Mustered out April 11, 1919. He suffered gas wounds from the First World War and spent most of the remainder of his life in Army Hospitals in the West and died at the age of fifty-two.

His birth record recorded him as a white, male child born to a laborer, Carl Kuhlman and his wife, the former Minna Keuer on Wednesday, Dec 22, 1892 at 11:45 PM in Neillsville, WI. He was delivered by Johanna Lubke of Neillsville and the birth was registered June 6, 1893. His parents were both German born.
