Theodore & Maryetta Ransom Brown (ca. 1905)
Theodore Brown, Jr. was the youngest child of Theodore and Ruth (Collins) Brown. He was born August 5, 1836 in Sandusky, OH. In 1845, at the age of nine, he moved to Fond du Lac Co., WI. There, on February 14, 1865, he married Maryetta Ransom in Auburn, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin at the home of his older brother, William. His sister, Julia Brown, and his nephew, Sheldon Tuttle served as witnesses. Their first daughter, Alice, was born about a year and a half later (November 28, 1866). The next year and a half brought a second daughter, Luella (b. June 15, 1868) and a move to Michigan where they lived for seven years before relocating to Weston, Clark County, WI. There, they purchased property in section 24 near Cawley Creek, just 4 1/2 Miles North of Neillsville, WI on the right side road off Highway 73.
